MBA project is a compulsory component for MBA programme. The MBA project binds together academic concepts learned during academic programme by students in their specialized functional domain, enabling them to apply academic theory and principles to handle the real managerial issues. Students need to conduct an in-depth study into a particular organization or business area using the knowledge and skills they developed through the academic programme. In IGNOU, MBA project is equivalent to two courses. However, for registration purposes the project course is treated as one course, which is of Eight Credits. MBA Project Guide supposed to be from Management Faculty of any University/Counsellor of Management programme having 5 years of PG teaching experience/Professionals holding Masters’ degree in Management or allied disciplines having a minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant area, in exceptional cases, a guide with a B.E. degree and 5 years of relevant teaching/professional experience may also be considered.
  3. Most important factor for selecting a guide should be in the student’s own area of interest.

  10. Read about the guide's biodata or academic career and check whether his/her qualification and experience meet your university requirement or not.
  11. Study his/her research background in terms of research publications, MBA project guided etc.
